RED SEA REEFER Aquarium 350 – 120 cm length / 275 liters volume
The REEFER Aquarium 350 by Red Sea with its 275 liters volume, 120 cm glass basin length, 50 cm width and 53 height the second largest model of the REEFER series. An perfect match for collectors of corals and exotic fish, for breeders and determined beginners. This model is just the aquarium you might be looking for. It also has extra room in the cabinet and can be used for additional accessories.
The REEFER System is a new concept. It includes the aquarium, the cabinet, sump and a fully integrated water management system, while allowing a personal preference for all of the other equipment, such as lighting, skimmers, circulation pumps and controllers. The REEFER comes in 5 models, ranging from a compact NANO to a full size 150cm 5´ unit. The basic features are identical for all models, the main difference being the volume of the sump, which varies proportionally with the size of the aquarium and an additional ventilated chiller compartment for this model, the previous model REEFER 250 and the largest model REEFER 450.
The REEFER is based on many years of experience, designing, building and maintaining Reefer aquarium systems and incorporates many of the technologies originally developed for Red Sea’s all-in-one Max coral reef systems. Red Sea aims with Reefer aquariums to provide a solid foundation for the advanced hobbyist and for beginners to create a personalized, fully featured marine reef aquarium.

Simple and intelligent – an inside look at the features of REEFER Aquarium Systems:
REEFER 350 Aquarium specifications:
From the outside, you can see a contemporary, rimless ultra-clear glass aquarium with a stylish cabinet that follows the same contour as the glass. The front glass panel has a thickness of 12 millimeters. The thickness of the glass allows avoiding bracing bows and having the clean, rimless design with smart beveled edges top and bottom.
The water management system will maintain a stable water surface approximately 4cm / 1.5´´ below the rim. All of the piping is hidden in the central overflow box, which has a large surface skimmer with easily removable comb sections for periodic cleaning. The sump return outlet nuzzle is fully adjustable and is also easily removable for maintenance.
To keep the system quiet, we use a regulated flow main down pipe alongside a secondary by-pass overflow which has unrestricted flow to the sump. The intake of the bypass is also set below the water level in the tank, so there’ll always be positive surface skimming. Moving down, the cabinet follows the external contours of the aquarium with a small gap between them. These marine-spec laminate cabinets are fronted with weather-proof, epoxy-painted doors and include convenient push-openers as well as well as soft-close stainless steel hinges.
Inside the REEFER 350 cabinet:
Inside the cabinet are the sump and the reservoir of the integrated automatic top-up system which holds enough water for about 3 days of evaporation under normal operating conditions. In the top-right corner you find the flow-regulated down pipe and the overflow bypass. The down-flow valve which can be completely disassembled for maintenance is a custom diaphragm valve that has fine adjustment for easily regulating the flow. All of the water passes through the 200 micron filter bags that are located underneath the reservoir. The filter bags slide out sideways, so the reservoir does not have to be removed to clean the filters. The filter bags drain directly into the skimmer chamber which will maintain constant water height. The size of the chamber and the water height varies according to the model.
In the event that the filter bags become blocked, the water will simply bypass the filters without affecting the water height in the rest of the system. Dividing the main reactor chamber from the pump chamber is a bubble trap to remove the bubbles that inevitably escape to the sump from skimmers. The integrated ATO of the reefer maintain a constant water height in the pump chamber which insures consistent and stable water flow throughout the entire system. The pump itself is not supplied however everything else is included. Below, you can find a comparison of all Red Sea REEFER tank models with all important data and characteristics.
